Your adventure begins upon arrival in Kathmandu, the vibrant capital city of Nepal. After landing at Tribhuvan International Airport, you will be met by a representative from Nepal Passion Treks and Expedition and transferred to your hotel. Depending on your arrival time, you can relax and recover from your journey or take a short walk around the nearby area to get a feel for the city. Kathmandu is a lively hub, rich in culture, history, and spirituality. The evening is free for you to enjoy a traditional Nepali dinner and prepare for your exciting journey ahead.
After breakfast, you will undertake on a full day of sightseeing around Kathmandu Valley, visiting some of the most iconic UNESCO World Heritage Sites. First, head to Boudhanath Stupa, one of the largest and holiest Buddhist stupas in the world. You will see Buddhist monks spinning prayer wheels, pilgrims walking the kora (the circuit around the stupa), and vibrant Tibetan prayer flags waving in the wind. From there, you will continue to Pashupatinath Temple, the most sacred Hindu temple in Nepal, where you’ll witness the rituals of worship and cremation on the banks of the Bagmati River. Your next stop will be Swayambhunath Stupa (the Monkey Temple), offering stunning panoramic views of Kathmandu Valley. Finally, explore the historic Kathmandu Durbar Square and its nearby attractions, including the Kumari Ghar (the residence of the Living Goddess). Your guide will share fascinating insights into Nepal’s rich culture and history. The day ends with an overnight stay in Kathmandu.
After an early breakfast, your journey continues with a scenic drive to Pokhara, a picturesque city nestled beside Phewa Lake and surrounded by the majestic Annapurna Mountain Range. The drive takes approximately 6-7 hours, passing through lush forests, traditional villages, and terraced fields. Along the way, you can stop for refreshments and enjoy views of the Trishuli River. Upon reaching Pokhara, check into your hotel, and if time permits, take a leisurely walk around Phewa Lake. The evening is free to explore the lakeside area, with its vibrant cafes, shops, and stunning views of the mountains.
Start your day early with a trip to Sarangkot to catch the stunning sunrise over the Annapurna Mountain Range, including Machapuchare (Fishtail Peak), Dhaulagiri, and Annapurna South. The breathtaking views from Sarangkot are one of the highlights of your visit to Pokhara. After the sunrise, return to Pokhara for breakfast and embark on a sightseeing tour of the city. The drive takes approximately 5-6 hours, passing through rural landscapes, small villages, and agricultural fields. Upon arrival in Sauraha, a town on the edge of Chitwan, check into your lodge or hotel. After settling in, enjoy a relaxing evening by the river, perhaps witnessing the sunset over the Rapti River. The area is famous for its wildlife, and you may catch glimpses of local wildlife such as rhinos, monkeys, and various bird species. Your guide will brief you on the upcoming jungle safari activities and the incredible wildlife you may encounter in Chitwan National Park.
Today, immerse yourself in the natural wonders of Chitwan National Park with a full day of activities. Start the day with a morning jungle safari on a traditional elephant-back ride or in a jeep. As you traverse the dense forests and grasslands of the park, your guide will help you spot wildlife, including one-horned rhinos, bengal tigers, sloth bears, and a variety of birds and reptiles. You may also visit the Elephant Breeding Center and learn about the conservation efforts in the park. After lunch, enjoy a canoe ride along the Rapti River, where you might see crocodiles and water birds. Later, take a nature walk through the park with an experienced naturalist.
